Unstereotype Alliance membership 

Unstereotype Alliance members collaborate to eradicate harmful stereotypes from advertising and media to create a more equal world. Convened by UN Women, the United Nations entity for Gender Equality, the Alliance collectively acts to empower people in all their diversity by using advertising to drive positive change all over the world. Members are at the core of the efforts and progress of the Unstereotype Alliance and both contribute financially and collaborate on projects, research and tools to drive industry-wide change. As a member, you are joining a highly active, global network with a shared vision.

Global membership vs National Chapter membership

Companies and organisations can join as a global member or as member of one of the Unstereotype Alliance National Chapters in Australia, Brazil, India, Japan, Kenya, Mexico, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. Stereotypes are culturally driven and our National Chapter programme ensures harmful stereotypes are tackled through a locally relevant approach, with a shared global vision.

Vice Chairs, Members and Allies

The Unstereotype Alliance membership is a diverse and influential coalition convened by UN Women, a United Nations body and global champion for women and girls. The alliance is a collaboration between UN Women, brands and advertisers within the private sector and advertising industry bodies and organisations, all of whom hold positions as Vice Chairs, Members or Allies.
